Hand Painting Roving with Food Coloring in a Microwave

Hand Painting Roving with Food Coloring in a Microwave

As soon as someone who loves to dye their own yarn starts spinning, it won’t be long until you want to start dyeing your own roving (unspun fiber). The fiber used in this video is 100% wool. You will need roving, vinegar, food coloring, plastic wrap, a microwave, a microwave safe plate and some containers to mix dye in. Rubber gloves are recommended if you want to avoid dyeing your hands as well.
